Today, the pose which we will take up is considered as one of the easiest yoga poses which can be done by a small child as well as an elderly person alike.¬† The pose is known as Talasana or the Palm-tree Pose. “Tala” means “palm tree” in Sanskrit and in this posture, the body is held upright like the trunk of a palm tree.

However, despite being a light pose, it is highly effective and can benefit the yogis in a number of manner.  Talasana fully stretches the upper portion of the body, spine in particular. Practicing this asana makes the body become well-built, well-proportioned, nimble and agile. It also tones up your respiratory system muscles and the muscles of the lower back and abdomen.
